HALLOWEEN!!!

So tonight is Sami's Halloween party, and I am super pumped about it!! Well...kinda hahaha. Im not too excited about my costume because I think I look pretty ridik, but it's always fun to see what other people will be dressed as. The sucky part? I have to work at the church tomorrow morning...early...at 8:30. Major suckage. It's not like I am planning on drinking tonight or anything, but I know I prob wont get home till later, which will make me uber tired when I have to wake up at 8am the next morning :(. But whatever...I've done it before!

So as I said before, I am going to be Marylin Monroe! I fixed my wig some, so it looks a lot better. This is a picture of the wig I bought, and it def did not look like that when I opened it!

I got the makeup a few days ago, and I really think I can pull it off. So hopefully, I wont look awful in the pictures that will eventually be posted on Facebook.

Tomorrow is the actual big day...Halloween. Muahahahaha (that was my sinister laugh). After work tomorrow, I am going to go home for a while, carve some pumpkins if we dont finish them today, then head over to my friend Stephen's house for some trick or treating...and by trick or treating, I mean that there will be trick or treaters who come to his house while we are all hanging out. Wooo so excited. He moved into a new house a couple of months ago, and this will be my first time getting to see it...jealous Morghen? Muahahahaha jk. I will def take pictures...if I remember haha.

Oh and tomorrow for church, we are supposed to wear red...I own like two red shirts that I would wear in public that actually fit me. One is a falcons jersey, and the other is a Valentines Day shirt from high school. So no, I will not be wearing those. Now I have no idea what I can wear tomorrow. Thanks church for making things complicated! I have this one red flannel shirt that used to be cute, but Ive lost weight, so now it just looks like a sack when I put it on. Def not cute anymore. It looks like this but less fitted on the sides, which is why it feels like a sack. So I guess it looks like I will be raiding my roommate's closet haha.

Well anyway, pictures of everything will come soon. I know I always say that, but I dont give a crap.

Idiot People

So, I am friends with a variety of people on Facebook. Some of them are conservative or liberal, male or female, intelligent...or dumb as rocks.

I cannot stand the dumb people because all of their posts are intellectually inept. It is so irritating to see people misspell the simplest of words. For example, one friend spelled the word "since" as "sents." Are you for real? How did you graduate high school? Do you even know how to spell your own name? I mean, it's one thing to confuse sense with since...I guess...but it's another thing to make up your own freaking word because you are a total moron. Well, now that I think about it, this person might not have graduated high school...

Of course, I am not judging anyone based on their education level or profession, but "sents?" By the time an American kid is in the 8th grade, he should be pretty adept at the English language. "Since" is a word we should know long before going into high school, which is why this person's inability to make "sents" (see what I did there?) irritates me enough to write about it. It's just pure laziness to me.

Summer's Over and the Living Ain't So Easy

Well right now I am watching Jerseylicious.  It is one of the most entertaining shows on right now (and by right now, I dont just mean 3:10pm on a Monday..I mean "right now" in this day and age, get it?), so it helps slow days like today go by a little faster.

Anyway, let's talk about what's been going on in "BETSY LAND!!" Well, probably the highlight of last week was seeing my bests! Sami, of course, lives close by, but I never ever see her because she is wayyyy too busy doing other stuff. And Morghen lives literally a million miles away, so it was a huge (and amazing) surprise to her in Ksaw on Thursday! We met up at Moe's (I dont really like it, but everyone else in the world apparently does...maybe I should join an "I hate Moe's" support group) and laughed and laughed and laughed. Our other friend Hilary was there, and Sami met up with us when she got out of class. After Moe's we all ventured to Sami's house because she just HAD to show Morghen her dog Bruce, even though it's only been like 3 or 4 months since Morghen last saw Bruce. Sami is plain ol' ridik...but I love it. We left Sami's house to go to this bar called Bailey's. It's not a trashy bar like...I dunno, um, Twisted Taco (god I miss it!), but it's a bar all the same. Creepy guys, young and old, go there to hit up the young, college candy, and it is sooooo funny to see these guys, not gunna lie. Back to the story, Colby generously bought me a drink and all of us shots, so needless to say, we got pretty happy pretty quickly :).  There are def some awesome pictures from that night, and I will post some as soon as all of the pictures are on Facebook, meaning Sami gets it together to post her pictures since Morghen already has.

I had such an amazing time with them. I love my bests, and whenever we hang out together, I am reminded how much we are meant to be together. We can never stop laughing, and it's just so contagious. I miss it so much. But at least I have some really amazing memories to think back on when we are apart (all the times at Cracker Barrel, Girl's Weekend, every time we watch She's the Man, and all of our silly face pictures :)).

So that basically sums up that night.

Since my last post, I have taken the GRE, didnt like my score, and have scheduled to take it again on November 12. Hopefully this next time, I can do a lot better.

I really cant wait to be done with stupid grad school stuff. I still havent written my statement of purpose, but I will get to it...eventually. 

But so what if I dont get into grad school? Do you know how many people have PhDs who are working as janitors right now in the US? It's 5,000. That's ridiculous. Why go to grad school and take out tons of loans to just sweep floors? None of it seems worth it. I can see myself being happy without a Masters or PhD, but I'm not sure if I can see myself being happy while going through the stress of grad school pressures. Maybe I am subconsciously hurting myself...like I'm not trying hard enough. Im not sure. If I get in, I get in....If I dont, I dont.

Moving on. I got my wig and makeup for my costume today, so I have everything I need for Saturday's party. It looks a little ridik, but that's what a costume is supposed to be like, right?

Just an Update :)

Well, its been just over a month since Ive last posted something. Not much has happened. My ex and I have been working on our friendship, and it looks like things are going well for us. Lets hope the two of us can keep it up!

I still havent found a job. I had an interview for this one job, but I just found out that I didnt get it :(. So sad. But oh well...on to the next! So today I applied for 4 more jobs, and one of them seems really interesting and very promising for me. Cross your fingers that they love me and want to hire me! 

I went shopping at Plato's Closet on Saturday. I found this really cute Go-Go-esque dress that looks really good on me and two pairs of navy khakis. I love love LOVE them! It was a very good day for shopping. PLUS, it all cost me just over $30. Thats only half the price of one those pairs of pants, full price!!!! So it was definitely worth it. So my fall wardrobe is a little more updated now :)! I got to wear my first official fall outfit yesterday for this year, and it was adorable. Love

Well, Im still shopping for a car. The one I want is still at the shop, and hopefully it will be fixed soon. If they cant fix whatever is wrong, my mom says we shouldnt buy it, so I would have to start a new search...ugh.

I made some pretty good Chocolate Chocolate Chip Muffins on Sunday, and I took pictures. I will try and post those really soon!  

I take the GRE on Monday...so pray that I do really really well. I will need all the luck I can get!
